The Arizona Gateway Trading Post was established in June of 1995. It is owned and operated by Sue Jones.

We invite you to stop at the Arizona Gateway Trading Post on Highway 93, just 41 miles from Hoover Dam and the only stretch of highway that leads to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. Our store is situated on 10 acres, with old wagons, wood indians, totem pole and colorful building, that will make any picture buff happy. We have easy on and off access as well as a crossover making it convenient for those on their way back to Las Vegas.

We offer a comfortable place to stop and have a cup of coffee, something to eat, sandwich, ice cream, a beverage, (non-alcoholic of course) stretch, enjoy looking at all we have to offer, find a treasure, then head on your way, refreshed and glad you took the time to stop.

The Trading Post is a mom and pop operation, like in the good old days, with a friendly attitude. The store has been open now for three years. It has 2,000 square feet, full of a variety of souvenir items from Pottery, Keychains, Dolls, Tee Shirts, Hats, Peace Pipes, Bows and Arrows, to name a few. For the rock buff we have an "Ore Car" filled with tumbled rocks from Arizona and surrounding area, here the buff can hand pick his or her rocks and put them in a little bag and off they go with their treasures and memories of the fun they had picking for themselves.

In our second building we offer a larger selection of rocks and mineral, bookends, Agates and Geods (in various colors), large pieces and slices, Titanium, Aqua, Rainbow crystals, (hard to find) along with a rare 500 million year old Amonite, a large piece of Amathyst, as well as small pieces. We also offer some beautiful Kachinas large, small, handcarved, all done by the Indians, old wagon wheels, wash bucks, scrub boards, water pumps, Amish buggy seat, Indian rugs, blankets, wall hangings, even an old barber shop pole from the 1930s, carved out of oak and still lights up, a compliment to any ones home or business.

We offer a 10% discount to the tour guides and bus drivers when they stop, if they mention they saw us on the Internet. We are sure you will be pleased with our service. We also offer clean restrooms. We all know that a happy customer is one that will refer us to their friends and family.
